Delete your account
Applies to TaskMaster on web, iOS and Android.
From inside the app
Open Settings, scroll to the bottom, and choose Delete account. You will be asked for your password and shown exactly what will be removed before anything happens. Deletion takes effect immediately.
Go to Settings if you are already signed in on this device.
By email
If you cannot sign in, email privacy@a-plan.agency from the address on the account with the subject Delete my account. We verify ownership of the address and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually within one business day.
What is deleted
- Your account record: name, username, email, phone number and profile picture.
- Your private list, in full.
- Any business you owned alone, together with its tasks, comments and files.
- Your sessions, sign-in tokens and device notification tokens.
What stays, and why
Work you created inside a business that other people still use remains with that business, reattributed to its owner. It is that business's record of its own work, and removing it would delete other people's data along with yours.
If you are the only owner of a business that still has other members, deletion will stop and ask you to make someone else an owner first. This prevents a business being left with no one able to administer it.
Retention after deletion
Deleted records are removed from the live database immediately. Encrypted backups are rotated out within 30 days, after which no copy remains.
